So figured I would update this with just over 2 weeks left in the quarter.

Console Total Last year Change % Change   March 14 2010 - April 3 2010
Retail Channel Jan 1st 2011
Wii 2,152,205 3,332,755 -1,180,550 -35%   827,431 1,000,000
PS3 2.311,336 2,532,657 -221,321 -9%
761,149 1,600,000
X360 2,085,338 1,780,042 305,296 17%
442,726 500,000

So I suspect all consoles to sell about 400K more the remainder of this month.  So where will shipments land.

I see MS shipping about 3M 360s, Sony shipping 2.8M PS3s and Nintendo shipping about 2.5M Wiis

Really? I expect something like 2.1 for 360, 2.8 for PS3, and 2.1 for Wii (200k below their projection)

2.1 for 360 wouldnt even cover how many they sold at retail from Jan 1 through Mar 31.  MS went into Jan with very low inventory at retail. So they will want about 1 million on store shelves come April 1st.  So take the 2.5M they sell and add another 500K to have retailers with healthy inventory.

Hmm, MS shipped 5 mill last xmas Q, and 6.3 mill this Q, 1.18 of that 1.3 increase was U.S. so 120k increase elsewhere. Of course this isn't taking into consideration the shortages, and how much extra they would have added.

So far this year 360 is up 160k in U.S (NPD), next month should see significant gains though, Feb and Jan had 360 at around 100k weekly, with shortages. Being a 5 week month it should hit above 500k again this month, possible above 600k. March last year did 330k, so at the end of march 360 could be up in the states as much as 450k.

so 1.5, plus the 450k increase in U.S gets it to around 2 million. The rest depends on how short they were in Q4 last year, and much it has increased in Europe.

I still don't think 360 will top PS3 this Q, 2 - 2.5 mill is my range. With Kinect doing 2.7 - 3.2
