Because what is bolded is talking about the action and not where the money goes at the end...

See people like it when they can get something while donating money..  Their are probably 1.000 members on Bungie.net getting this while they were not even thinking of donating money..

No it is still a donation, When I saw the article on Bungie.net I thought it was a great action... And like someone else already stated Bungie always does something when an disaster happens.. loved or not by the community (Like Haiti..)..

It's a donation on Bungie's side, but not really from the one that gets the item.
