but seriously, why  would you buy a ds, isnt the 3ds backwards compatible? why wouldnt people wait for that instead of buying a console that will loose support in a few weeks

3ds=$250

ds=$130

retailers will probably still drop the price to make room for the 3ds, they could get it for cheaper than 130$ if price was the problem. im just wondering if/how the 3ds sales will be effected if people are still buying the ds. i wouldnt want to buy a ds today and have to buy new hardware in a few weeks so i could play new games.
