^^^^ my point of what is there new to see after you've beaten it was never addressed. doing a speed run does not appeal to me in the slightest, because im still just going thru the same levels. Now you might say that for any game and you would be right, but i can run through a 2d Mario rather quickly and then thats it for me. I cant really say that for alot of other games. But then again that is the nature of the 2d platformer. Not really fair to compare them to a Mass Effect which has literally hours of content outside the main story. Ill give DKCR a go eventually its supposed to be more challenging
