Well, they have given you every single recommendation I wanted to make already. I'll list them anyway in case repetition means anything to you:
Mass Effect 1 and 2 (go for both).
Final Fantasy XIII (though a sensitive issue for many, I love story driven games and it delivers)
Red Dead Redemption (one of the two best stories last year if sandbox genre isn't a turn off)
Uncharted series are absolutely awesome.
Persona 4 is a must!!
Going for Bioware's classics on pc might not be a bad idea.
Valkyria Chronicles story was weak in my opinion, yet emotive. The game could have been so much more but its still worth the praise.
