I think if Pokemon Grey comes out, which some members of GameFreak say won't happen while others say its probable or that it might come. If Pokemon Grey becomes a reality it will launch next year in Japan. Now whether this Pokemon game will be on 3DS is another question.
While the 3D effects in Black and White could be translated into 3D on 3DS the question is will they? Fact is Nintendo has never released the third version of a Pokemon game on a new console. All three have traditionally been released on the same hardware.
However Black and White break with tradition. Traditionally Game Freak hasn't released more then one generation of Pokemon to a single platform. Blue/Red/Yellow all released on GB, Gold<Silver,Crystal all released on GBC, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald all on GBA, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum on DS.
So with Black and White breaking with Nintendo and GameFreaks tradition, they could also break other traditions. Infact Grey may never be released at all. Also who says Ruby and Sapphire will be remade? GameFreak could choose not too. Now that they've broken with traditional predictability we have no idea what might happen.
I think we will see the first Pokemon game on 3DS in 2012 for Japan and 2013 for North America. Whether this will be Grey or not I don't know. Remember Pokemon Dash was released on DS before any other versions. I expect some sort of Pokemon title in 2012.

A third version of the current generation is a given as usual.
But you forgot that Silver/Gold were actually Gameboy game and that only Crystal was only for GameBoy Color.

You were saying?

Yes I am. It was compatible with Gamboy , unlike Crystal.

Yes it was, but it was still a GBC game, says so right on the packaging. GBC and GB cartridges were essentially the same but that doesn't mean that Gold or Silver were any less GBC games. Like if Grey comes to 3DS but has backwards compatability with DS, does that make it a DS game? No its still a 3DS game.
I guess it could be argued both ways, but officially as seen on the boxart the games were both GBC titles!
