the sad thing is, that your post will be ignored!

the hackers repaeted their mantra of "bringing back other OS" so many times that they forgot it was one of them who actually had to brag about hacking the PS3, so sony felt it was better to remove it.

Not at all, I did commend Sony for their awesome strategy of removing Linux from PS3 when they introduced the slim model, and then retroactively from all models.

BTW, Sony was obvioulsy right to disable Linux, because that way they successfully kept PS3 from being hacked, and the Slims that never had Linux in the first place are also completely unhackable. Just thought I should mentions this, because you have to give credit where credit is due!

of course, you just fail to mention that geohot was the reason they did it in the first place.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
