Considering GT5 is doing pretty good in America, i don't think there's an issue with SCEA. Anyway, a few sub 90-Meta scores hardly is indicative of "neverending parade half-baked, still born titles". It doesn't get much more narrow minded than that. Plenty of Wii & 360 titles with sub-90 Meta scores, are they "half-baked" as well? One thing's for certain, GT5's fans are loving it. Looks like that 84 Meta (a good score to begin with) had little to no affect on the game. |
Except that, even GT5, "the Holy Grail app" for the PS3 should be doing better numbers in the Americas and Japan, proportionally like those in EMEAA and selling SKU's like there's no tomorrow. Instead it finds itself conformed to trying to salvage what little lead it has over an older generation console's (PS2) favourite sim-racer (GT4). Just look the rest of the hyped exclusives: they're 80% sequels, and mind you, given either the metacritic scores or sales data, 'tis not the season for sequels. SON¥ needs to drop the handhelds and invest in peoples' playrooms; specially those playrooms with potential PS3 gamers. Pronto!
