The Yankees have the best bullpen in baseball. Their Rotation lacks depth but they're going to have two 20 game winners at the top and they still have as good a line up as any team in the league. Their defense will also be greatly improved with Russell Martin behind the dish. And though his offensive numbers have been declining in recent years he still knows how to draw a walk so he will fit in perfectly with this patient and powerful line up.
The Red Sox added a lot to their line up in star power but their rotation is just as suspect, their bullpen is good but not great and their defense is also top calibur but it's still not on par with the yankees.
Either way they're both making the playoffs.
