I just got my copy yesterday and the game, in various aspects, is much better than the later games of the series... just left me thinking of what they got in mind for the 3DS.... a world of the size of wii's xenoblade with a cartoonish look??? It would be awesome!!! :P

I can answer that.  New games will expand on the series by offering players the exciting choice of which gender they want their ten-year old hero to be, and which of three different pokemon he/she will begin with.  For added excitement, the player's one or two friends will select the other pokemon(s).  The player's mentor, who may or may not hold a doctorate and may or may not be named after a type of tree, will give the player a brief tutorial on pokemon, after which the player is free to engage in battles with other players and wild pokemon, with the primary goal of defeating eight different characters at eight different gyms to earn eight different badges, before going on to challenge pokemon masters and become one of the very best trainers in the land.

As an alternate goal, players will be encouraged to collect the over one hundred exciting new species of pokemon, some of which can only be gained through trading with friends in the real world.  Future installments will also build on this exciting new formula by making the sprites 3D, and including up to four (4) frames of animation for their pokemon to use during battles.  Also, please look forward to utilizing the 3DS' revolutionary 3D camera system to engage in video chat with any friends you have who are within the 3DS' local area network.
