Uhm... you added together the time PS3 and 360 were on the market, but not for xbox (it's successor released after 4 years on the market) and GC (5 years)  ?

By your math GC/Xbox should be 45m/9y = 5m/year , so 360/PS3 do double of that and not "similar" numbers at all.
