Japan is by the far the smallest of the markets that VGChartz tracks.
By "small," I mean where hardware and software sell the least.
The Americas is the largest market followed by the EMEAA (Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia), and then Japan.
If we pieced it out country by country instead of by geographic markets, people would still complain because the USA would be the largest market and each individual European country would have a market size slightly larger or slightly smaller than Japan depending.
