Now just look at this for your proof .

Diomedes, maybe you should learn how to read French before touting as proof articles that do not support your affirmations.

First, you say that the PS3 in France has sold more than 500k units according to GFK and you cite an article in "Les Echos". Now, it is possible that this article supports your assertion but given that after many requests you still haven't given us a link to it you therefore canot use it as proof. If you want us to take that source seriously you had better give us a link.

Second, given that you did not give us a link to that "les echos" article we can only use that zdnet.fr link that you give us as a "proof". The key part in that article to confirm or infirm your assertion is:

"Selon nos informations, les consoles concurrentes se sont vendues à : un peu moins de 600 000 Sony PSP, environ 500 000 PS3 et plus de 200 000 Xbox 360 en 2007."

Which translate in English to: "According to our informations, the competing consoles sold: a bit under 600k Sony PSP, about 500k PS3 and more than 200k Xbox 360 in 2007."

Again, your assertion is more than 500k ("the PS3 being above 500K"; "the PS3 numbers in France are exceeding 500K" according to your own words).

The article says "about 500k PS3" which is far from being the same as a number smaller than 500k can also be about 500k. Even if they did say more than 500k it wouldn't mean that it was the gospel of PS3 sales given that they say  "According to our informations" without mentioning GFK.

I am sure that you will say: 'But their informations come from GFK' however if it was the case why wouldn't they cite GFK given that in the next paragraph talking about the size of the French Video Game market they say:

"le secteur français de la console de jeu (chiffres d'affaires cumulés des acteurs) devrait dépasser 1,1 milliard d'euros, selon GFK"

In English: "The French sector of video game consoles (total sum of all companies) should be more than 1.1 billion Euros, according to GFK"

Givne that they cite GFK here and not for the 500k is proof that the 500k do not come from GFK (which doesn't mean that GFK wouldn't be at 500k, just that this doesn't prove them to be).

Now, if we use the numbers in that article as an officious sales ressource (so not as good as GFK but good enough to compare with VGChartz) we can see that VGChartz is close from zdnet.fr's estimations:

DS: zdnet.fr: 2.2M in 2007 and 1.4M in 2006

      VGChartz: 2,22M in 2007 and 1.48M in 2006 -> less than 10% difference

Wii: zdnet.fr: a bit more than 1M units

VGChartz: 1,268,856 maybe a bit too high but the lack of precision in zdnet;s number doesn't tel us whether this is the case.

PSP: zdnet: a bit less than 600k

VGChartz: 528,624 so about 10% less than zdnet

PS3: zdnet: about 500 000 PS3

VGChartz: 434,764 depending on whether the "about" is a bit over or a bit under 500k  we are within 10-15% less than zdnet, so not that bad in any case.

 360: zdnet: more than 200 000 Xbox 360 in 2007.
VGChartz: 196,951 What??? Xbox 360 is undertracked by VGChartz? Felicitations Diomedes, you just proved that VGChartz should raise the sales number of the 360 in France (I'm joking, the difference is once again within the margin of error).

Now, the biggest difference is indeed the LTD sales of the 360 withzdnet at 500k and VGChartz at 595,678 which gives us a bit less than 20% difference.

However, when I searched the web for that elusive "les echos" article of yours that you keep citing without giving us a link, I found this article that also mentions the 500k 360's sold in France... but is dated from December 10th 2007. Given that I am sure a few Xbox 360 got sold in December in France (50k according to VGChartz) it reduces the difference to about 10% which is also within the error margin.

Of course, all this doesn't mean that there aren't mistakes, but given that Ioi does his best with the sources he's got, if you want to assert that there is an error in VGChartz's numbers you must provide more concrete proofs than numbers that are within the margin of error.
