Yeah the RROD should have been thoroughly tested, in fact the RROD... I mean they have a sign for it, it was obviously known to them it clearly was more rampant then their testing was though... which was horrible for them, but with the 2 year extended free warranty for RROD's they basically admitted they made a mistake imo
Realistically though only a few companies could have jumped in when Ms did, and ms was probably the best opportunity and they still screwed up the first time. Now they have contacts in the business, if they had these contacts at the start when they released the original xbox, the ps2 wouldnt have run away so much imo. I could of course be wrong though.
