There are more PC exclusives than in all consoles combined. FACT. Don't try to spin this.

So? That's because console games have to be allowed and verified by the platform holders. Not that I care about your exclusive "MOD" . Or college student 2D Space Shooter

So because you don't like it or don't play it, it shouldn't count or matter? That's a very ignorant attitude to take.

There are plenty of great games on the PC that cater to a wide variety of genres. Plus most current console games are also on PC.

It's not that I don't like the PC itself. My favorite game is still an old strategy PC-Game called Desperados - Wanted Dead or Alive(you should look for it - it is brilliant). But if you care so much about these mods or indie game which ones would recommend?

They're not mods. Some devs may have started out as modders and some games may have begun life as mods, but the list is 100% commercial releases. The mods have a seperate list I believe (and incomplete from what I can tell, mod-db is better for mods lists I think).

As for games it depends what you're into, but I'll assume you like some strategy based gameplay on your post. The "Mount and Blade" RPGs are good if you like open ended/open world games (and does have some strategy-ish elements). If you like Horror then I thoroughly recommend "Amnesia: The Dark Descent" (it's the only game in years that I find actually scary). Also, a bit old now, but "Darwinia" is a fantastic game. You may also want to check out the "AI: War" games (actually, I think it's 1 game with expansions; I've only played a demo) and "Galactic Civilisations II".

For the future, keep a lookout for "Dota 2" (which is actually developed by Valve), and "A Game of Thrones: Genesis". If you liked Dungeon Siege then you may want to look at "Dungeons" which is supposed to be a spiritual successor. Also, if you like titles like Deus Ex, I'd keep an eye on... errr.. "E.Y.E". It looks potentially interesting.

I've mainly concentrated on indie strategy games, as I guess you already know about multiplats and the likes of Total War, Starcraft 2, Age of Empires: Online etc. If their are other genres you are interested in I may be able to make some more suggestions.

And I remember when Desperados was released. Never had an opportunity to try it but I'll see if I can find it (must be on GOG.com?).
