Don't be so sure about that. Black outsold White in Japan, and it will probably do the same in the West.

Doesnt the game which comes first (ie Red, Gold, Ruby, Diamond) normally do that? Generally always go for the second game (ie White) for as my first game was Blue (bit of an odd reason but Ive stuck with it, exception being Gold as it was an impulse buy and was the only copy in the shop).

No. Blue outsold Red, Silver outsold Gold and SoulSilver outsold HeartGold. Actually my theory is that the "blue" version always sells best (the only exception is Ruby, which outsold Sapphire; LeafGreen sold less then FireRed, but it wan't a "blue" version). In the case fo Black and White, Reshiram has BLUE eyes, while Zekrom has RED eyes, so my theory is confirmed yet again.
