If not, it seems kind of risky to release a new one by an unproven dev, with a new control scheme, which, to be honest, has yet to prove its abilities. They got Robot Entertainment to do the initial development. They're mostly composed of ex-Ensemble employees so it's the same personnel (more or less). The gameplay is more or less the same too (on the PC at least).
And it's a free to play game.
