Actually, no. 

It sold out its initial shipment, if it was a 1,000,000 shipment it would likely be above 500k FW

Also, I don't think Nintendo will be crying over the fact they're a few k behind the launch of the DS, soon to be the MOST SUCCESSFUL CONSOLE EVER

Amongst handhelds.  I still hold it isn't as impressive as PS2's home console sales, but then again it hasn't passed yet anyway!  :P
