Just to one specific thing, if Fire Emblem had been changed or evolved to try and lighten up the new series, everyone would be bitching about how they made it worse or some crap like that.
The always hypocritical thing when people complain something is too close to teh same as the original, is you know if they had changed it in the slightest, then those same people would bitch and complain about it not being like the old games and ultimately worse. And people wonder why devs hardly welcome change. Why should they when their buyers always want the same old crap to come out, except when you do it expect them to complain alot. Like what people did after Zelda: TP released, even know it was retarded. Yea I'm talking to you Jeff who used to be with Gamespot.
I on the other hand welcome change, while also welcoming enhancing something that's already there. Just for the topic though, I don't think out of all the devs out there, that the rants need to be placed with Nintendo. Hell just introducing something as different as motion sensing controllers in the market and fully backing it, is more than any company has done before. And I think its payed off, despite the backlash of those same old people who bitch and complain about change who would also bitch and complain if Nintendo stuck the same way. Point taken. I think so.
