^^^ poor variety of genres?? WIi has the worst variety of all the current gen systems. THe only thing Wii has in abundance that the HDs dont is shovelware and exercise games and thanks to kinect/Move they got those too. Fighting, FPS, 3rd person, platformers 2d and 3d, racing arcade and simulation, RPG western AND Japanese, puzzle, beat em ups, sports, open world, MMOs. HDs slaughter Wii in all those categories, does the wii even have an open world game beside Bully?? how about WRPG?? no? thought so, i wish people who didnt know what the hell they were talking about wouldnt make comments like that. its obvious you have never touched a HD console, im starting to think you dont even play anything unless its Ninty made

stop trying?? thats exactly what it means, you look at a fitness or dance game and there doing 10-20 mil and cost next to nothing to make contrast that to the core games which cost more and make what?? 500K 1 mil if lucky and cost much more, financial you would be an idiot not to make the former. THe fact of the matter is that most Wii owners just want to dance. You cant accept that and try to twist it to make the devs look evil. THe fact is you give the people what they want and the MAJORITY (looking at sales) Wii owners like those kinds of games where you dance and get exercise. You can go to the hightest cliff and scream at the top of your lungs, the silent majority will trump you everytime

Sure, the wii's variety is less than stellar in comparison to PS360(not that I mind though).  Do you honestly believe nintendo does not dominate the 2d and 3d platformers? Or are you trying to be more dramatic? Also, I'd contend the wii's implementation of motion has been better. Granted that is perhaps is an unfair comparison since the wiimote's been on the market, but the comparison remains.  Red Steel 2 and boom blox bash party are unique experiences that show the potential for 'core' usage of motion.
