Why do people get fooled so easily?
The slides are actually correct - just slightly misleading, as many people obviously don't know the meaning of the ">"-character in "> 41.6"
Isn't the explanation obvious? For his presentation, the person who created the slides had to mention PS3 hardware sales numbers. And he simply did not use the real numbers - either because he doesn't even have access to this information (rather unlikely considering his position), because he was just too lazy to get updated numbers (also rather unlikely), or because SONY simply didn't want to release brand new updated PS3 sales numbers on some tiny, unimportant developer meeting (the most likely explanation). So instead the person simply used the last official numbers, and by the time he created the slides that must have been 41.6 million.
