Now everything since seems to just be an evolution of those titles. I'm hoping the next Zelda really pushes the Wii-mote element. Although that's not to say I don't love there latest games, or that they aren't pushing other ends of gameplay with new IPs. But I'd love for a game to make me feel the same way I felt the very first time I laid my hands on Mario 64, I'll never forget how blown away I was. I literally drove to toys-r-us like 5 times just to play the demo (prior to launch). |
Sorry if I sound like a hypocrite, but the only reason why Mario 64 and Zelda OoT were amazing leaps ahead was because of their leap from 2D to 3D.
