Nah, they're better off waiting until fall. This PS3 ban won't go past 10 days, so they're not going to get people looking for a PS3, not being able to find one, and picking a 360 insted.

It's not up to Sony on whether the ban will go past 10 days or not. It's up to the judge. LG wants all the PS3 destroyed before the 10 days are up. So it won't even matter if that happens. It's not just people with out Ps3 who might get an XBox 360. It's people with a PS3, who might pick one up, especially if they want to play games like Halo Reach, Gears Forza 3 and any other 360 exclusives.

A lot of people do not understand this simple point.  The ban is for 10 days but can and will be extended by LG.  LG will state they want the ban extended and the judge probably will approve.  LG is also in the position to have those confiscated PS3 destroyed if they wanted.  This is serious business and not something to take likely as most people believe this will not impact Sony but it does.  This could also lead to precedent that can be followed in the US as well.

I would love LG to destroy all PS3 in stock WW and after that another judge decide that the previous were wrong and demand LG to pay for damages...

People here are little lunatic... do you really think PS3 will be banned for life because of this action or even that LG would confiscate and destroy an item that isn't their? Sony or the retailer are the owner until the good is sold they can maybe be called to keep the PS3 in hold, but while this happen they are responsible in brazil it would be called "fiel depositário" any damage to the goods and LG would have to pay...
