| Immortal said: I'm not so excited. Apparently the 3D Marios are great, but I found SMG to be one of the most overrated games I have ever played. It was such a terrible disappointment that I didn't even try other 3D Marios (SM64, SMG2, tons of 'em on VC). And that's with me sugar coating everything Nintendo-related, :O. I'm more hopeful for this, though. Since there's stereoscopic 3D, I might not find the game as hard and more playable. I'll give it a shot, at least, even though I'm several million times more excited for New Super Mario World 3DS. |
That's one of the main reasons I find this a very smart move on Nintendo's part. There are many people who are turned off by 3D platformers simply because judging distances can be tricky. If Nintendo is correct about the stereoscopic aspect somewhat rectifying this problem, it could prove to push the appeal of a 3D Mario further than ever before.
