I am going on vacation in 2 days for and coming back in 5 days. I am not taking my modded PSP with me to play the usual emulators. I am also not taking my GP2X Wiz with me to do the same thing... I just loaded up my Windows Phone with games which should pe plenty to entertain me during the flight there and back.
Not saying that these handhelds will fail, but people have way more options these days when it comes to portable gaming. Some of us may decide to move on from the portable console idea since the phones are providing some pretty fun games.

If you come in with set game expectations, then cell phones suck with touch screens...if you come to play any fun game and play it as it is meant to be played, you will see that most touch screen games are pretty fun with the touch screen. They are designed to control properly with touch screen only.
But yeah, if you want to play street fighter on a touch screen...a button centric game...forget it.

I also have played side scrollers, side scroller shootemups and stuff and still I felt like my fingers were in the way of the view. I didnt see nothing.

Games like angry birds, Fruit ninja, Swipy man, Parachute Panic, Tiki towers... these are made for touch screen devices. These are the type of games you should play on a touch screen device. Other stuff thats made for consoles and then ported on the itouch, android etc...with controller like controls...meh

Yeah that's what Im saying. Your options on a Phone is much more limited.
Most real gamers dont like Angry Birds or Fruit Ninja but they love Zelda and Uncharted.
