That's my issue. Not enough quality and most games are either dodgy, pointless, boring or short

There are exceptions (Mirror's Edge is fun, Angry Birds of course), but there's no 'big' games like Monster Hunter or Zelda to my knowledge, or real system-sellers.

And that's the thing which is holding back smartphones IMO

It doesn't seam like things are holding back smartphones at all. People like touch screen it seams. It must be an familiarity thing. I have access to iDevices and installed some free emulators on one and got to try Duck Tales for old time's sake. But those virtual buttons kill these games for me.

I meant gaming on smartphones, we can't have lengthy 50 hour behemoths when the tech isn't there just yet

Short games are fine, but after a while I want to play a game I can play for hours on end with a deep story
