Star Wars was a bigger film franchise if adjusted for inflation... :)

{damage control mode on} AND If we look at ticket sales Episode 3 is still the biggest ticket seller after Avatar in the last decade (2001-2010) in America...the only country that exists! {damage control mode off}

Yeah Episode 4 alone made like more than 2 Billion adjusted for inflation or something crazy like that

But If we're using inflation as an excuse that only meant that

I doubt Ep 4 made $2billion if we keep on adjusting it for inflation though. And Ep.3's international gross is pretty low... So I doubt it would reach Avatar's overall gross. Anyway, I think Inflation is not a very good comparison for classic films and modern films . It'll only meant the competition wasn't as rough before than now.
