On one hand the game IS rather legitimately difficult, enemies know how to kill you and being careless will end in death...but the same can be said for most games. The thing that has me frustrated in this game is that it's not so much difficult as it is unforgiving. the easy deaths I could handle, the cruel balance I could handle, the very tight controls I could handle. What I cannot stand is that all it takes is one misstep and you're back to square one. Not only this, but any experience you gained is gone and it's not likely you're gonna get it back. Also: No checkpoints as far as I can tell. Much as I love a challenging game, there's nothing less fun than having to do the same 25-30 mintues of gameplay two dozen times with no reward. I know I could do this game, I didn't find it too hard, I just got frustrated with it, so I happily moved on. |
A little tip. If you die when you have A LOT of souls and your very far in the level, just quit the game as fast as you can, just go right back to the XMB and start the game again, you'll start off right before you died with all your points intact.
