PS2 sold 990,000 first day japan only and it only done 6mln first year


PS2 launched in March (JP) October (NA) and November (Europe). So it was a Japan Exclusive for the majority of the year. It was only available in NA for 3 moths and Europe for 2 moths.

3DS launched  in February (JP), and March (Everywhere else). So it will be available WW for the majority of the year.

even DS in it second year(first year in europe) sold 10,5mln in 3 quarters.also estimated 9% people can't see the 3D effect and another 15% at least don't care about 3D.for those people it will be another DS with less software and higher price then original DS.i don't see it selling better than Wii,Xbox 360 or PS3 but it have some chances selling better than DS(but i wouldn't bet my money on it)
