Anecdotally I'd argue that given the amount of stock present in the channels post holidays that the gift card promotions were meant to thin out the heard a little bit. Note: I'm not suggesting that Sony OVERSTUFFED the channels beyond belief, I'm suggesting that demand for the the PS3's in NA was over-estimated and the post holiday gift card incentives were used to address that. On topic, good numbers for all; strange to see the Wii behind the PS3 and 360 though...just so used to it being at the top! |
Its a rumor: Sony is trying to get rid of the 160gb to bring in a "hack proof" 300 gb Ps3. It makes sense too with all the deals and bundles going around.
