I've pulled my DreamCast out every once in awhile to play PowerStone I would probably like having my Wii to play my good old GCN games. I got suckered out of my GameCube. EBGames was only accepting 5 pre-orders for Wii's. If you wanted to pre-order you either had to pre-order in full or trade in your GameCube for a 50$ pre-order. I didn't have the 279.99$ on hand at the time so I had to trade in my beloved GameCube...sob...sob! |
You could buy one from Amazon used for $20 plus 4 dollars for shipping.
On Topic: They will not have GCN support for their next system. Like some have said before they only go so far with backward compatibility. That is the reason why I bought the DS Lite instead of the DSi when I decided to buy the DS again. I wanted the GBA port since I just got 2 of the GBA Fire Emblems to play (my 20 plus GBA games also). I expect Wii backwards compatibility but if they didn't support that then I wouldn't really care. I would just keep my Wii plugged into the component cable and their next system plugged into HDMI (my tv only has one component cable input so I suppose the Wii owns that input for a long time).
