I think you're mistaken "Did EA just pull a Capcom" when EA was going it before Capcom lol I love Battlefield Bad Company 2 but content was already on the disc when it released it just had a "release" to keep itself in the news and push sales more. Or when they update Battlefield and you have to buy the unlock code for that 100mb update you just got AKA Vietnam.
Basically DLC is a pile of crap any way you look at it, splitting up who is playing, extra 10 to 15 dollars for something you already paid 60 for, so 75 dollars for a complete game? No wonder THQ is talking about 100 dollar games next gen. I've got some DLC it's true but... I've yet to pay for it outside of LBP since it was 5 dollars and added WAY more content than a couple of maps...
