Yes, Japan and America retail are quite compatible with their respective shipped numbers, but EMEAA and WW look undertracked by 600-700k, if the % of units still on the shelves or in the channel is the same in EMEAA as in JP and America or even slightly higher than in America (as JP being a smaller region will have the smallest % in the channel, America has obviously a larger one and EMEAA % should be by a small amount larger than America, being more sparse but with its most important part commercially, EU, with similar compactness and average transports distances and efficiency to North America). Also, considering the first shipments, Asia should give GT5 at least 300k units lifetime more than to GT4. |
It seems to be me that this makes sense.
if this is the real number then its possible that GT5 could do 8mil by the end of the year and 10mil by 2013. which is great news.
but are other PS3 games are undertracked?? because Sly Cooper certainly is, but are their other ones dont we know about??
could a moderator please comment on their thoughts about this matter because i'm curious if GT5 is a one off, or part of a bigger picture we cant see yet! theres also more PS3s in Europe than any other region, and we know this region is very difficult to track so any information from vgc mods would be much appreciated!
Edit: when i say mod, i meant administrator, etc. whoever can confirm this stuff.
