I have to respectfully disagree with you, as a hardcore gamer I was quite satisfied with nintendo last year and the sales of those games you listed arent not bad sales, most of those games sold a million units. It is true that they went for the core gamer and there wasnt a megahit but that doesnt mean they should only go for arcade-like titles just to make huge profits. I think they should make games for both audences but try to keep them separated that way they can still make huge profits and keep the core audience happy.

Why should they be kept separate?

The best games on Wii were bridge games like NSMBWii and Mario Kart. Everyone who appreciates games know that.

Well I liked NSMBwii and mariokart but I wouldnt put them above Super mario galaxy 2, sin and punishment 2 ,Tatsunoko vs capcom ,no more heroes or even metroid other M. The reason for me is originality, NSMBwii is the same game we have been playing for years. Everyone who play videogames should know something new and fresh is way better than more of the same. Now if they come with new ideas implemented in bridge titles, then I will agree with you. And if you own a wii and you think mariokart is the best it can do then you should go out and buy some more games as there are plenty better.
