It'll almost certainly be shipped. Sold numbers are always estimates and normally come later when the company can peg sales more closely based on retailer updates.
I'd estimate sold won't be too far behind the shipped as they've been making further shippments so it seems unlikely it's all sitting on shelves somewhere.
GT5 was always looking to sell a lot, the problem was the franchise was trending up in EMEAA and down in US/Japan and a lot of people/sites decided to take the downtrending to indicate a problem while ignoring the uptrend in other regions.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
