Today 25 years ago one of the most important videogame franchises was born. It's strange usually this kind of events are filled with parties, new releases, articles, blog entries, news but let's face it's Nintendo and they rarely throw a party, so instead of waiting for Zelda All Sarts or something let's share our favorite Zelda memories.
I didn't like the first 2 Zelda games, I had 5 years when the fist Zelda game was released and it was confusing, difficult and repetitive for me. At the time I didn't know about candles that can burn bushes, rafts that can be used to travel, mazes that involved some random combination (the classic "Nintendo Power" moment" so I remember playing the game at a friends house for some minutes before turned it down to play Mario.
My first real Zelda experience was in the SNES with the classic A Link to the past, even to this day it's one of my favorite games the gameplay and puzzles were more logical, the difficult level is just perfect, it's fun to just walk finding all the secrets and the music (specially this tune) is smply epic. Finally I get the idea of the Zelda series, how can you identify with a mute charcater and feel how you're part of a big adventure.
Anyway my Top 5 favorite Zelda games:
5.- Zelda Oracle of Seasons / Oracle of Ages
4.- The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
3.- The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask
2.- The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time
1.- The Legend of Zelda a Link to the Past
