· During the month of January, four of the top ten console game titles were for Xbox 360 including: “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” “Dead Space 2,”“Dance Central,” and “Kinect Sports.” (Source: NPD Group, January 2011)
To have 2 Kinect exclusive games in the top 10 best selling games of the month is impressive. Do you realize how hard it is for a new game console to get 1 title into the NPD top ten after only 3 months on the market?
3 months after release Dance Central and Kinect Sports are currently selling better in the US than Fable 3, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, Halo Reach, Gran Turismo 5, and many other big franchises on Xbox 360 and PS3. Pretty significant achievement.
