I did go on a school trip to Poland (Krakow to be precise) back in June 2007. We went into several gaming/entertainment stores (I can remember Empik was one of them) and back then the Wii's marketshare didn't seem too bad compared to PS3/360; PC gaming had a massive section and probably took up a good 40% of the gaming area. Off topic, but I actually got Final Fantasy VI Advance in Poland for the contemparary Zloty equilivant of £32, which is a bargain considering how much the game goes for online. The strange thing is that the game had the green triangle on it, indicating it was originally meant for the U.K/Irish markets. So myself, a U.K school tourist went to Poland and bought an imported U.K/Irish game in the local store. |
Well there's no real data for Poland but the only published market share data I have seen came from Media Markt chain of stores (big supermarkets with tvs, consoles, fridges, kitchens etc) had Nintendo as a whole (DS Wii) at <10 %.
