I did go on a school trip to Poland (Krakow to be precise) back in June 2007. We went into several gaming/entertainment stores (I can remember Empik was one of them) and back then the Wii's marketshare didn't seem too bad compared to PS3/360; PC gaming had a massive section and probably took up a good 40% of the gaming area.
Off topic, but I actually got Final Fantasy VI Advance in Poland for the contemparary Zloty equilivant of £32, which is a bargain considering how much the game goes for online. The strange thing is that the game had the green triangle on it, indicating it was originally meant for the U.K/Irish markets. So myself, a U.K school tourist went to Poland and bought an imported U.K/Irish game in the local store.
