Ya, thats a bit worrying. And they call piracy an issue. The fact at the beginning all this went to a server with an http address let alone now an https address is horrifyingly horrid security measures to say the least. I'd basically recommend anyone who owns a PS3 trade their crap in for a 360 or Wii knowing this information or remove all important data like CC details and all that off the PSN at minimum.

So you're going to dump your crap PC tomorrow because it's using CAs and HTTPS when you pay online too ? ( not mentionning that your PC is more likely to be running a trojan than your PS3...)

PS : Do you even understand that for someone to be able to steal your CC on your PS3 the way the hacker describes it you would first have to install a CFW developed by the person trying to steal your information ?

If you do that you probably deserve this to happen  and I actually hope some douchebags trying to play pirated games has this happen to him, he doesn't deserve any less.

And secondly this is no different from installing a random executable whose source you don't know on your PC and then have its security being compromised...

Flash news : if you install software whose source you do not trust, you can compromise the security of your machine...

Sheesh, that's kinda very very old news...

pfft, if someone was stupid enough to hack my PC, again, they will end up like the last ones. I will get on my other AIM account, pay my questionable contact a few bucks and wait till I hear how the guy was arrested for child pornography or had every piece of private data from his SSN to his bank account to his CC numbers released to the public. And typically his services are dirty cheap for me since he used to host my anime download site on his private server.
