all i got from that is some bla bla a little whine whine and some more bla bla

Talking about developers not earning enough money because many people play games without paying for them? Yes, there's no relevance or anything else in this article, just whining.

well i think this is common knowledge by now. What does yet another article accomplish? does he think everyone will magically stop pirating or what?

Of course not, but that doesn't mean he can't put attention on the subject. There's no reason to be silent and just let all of this happen without trying to bring attention to it.

You do realise that by ranting and raving all he's really done is given publicity to the fact that Crysis 2 has been leaked on torrent websites. Maybe he should leave combating piracy to the developers and publishers who can actually have some kind of effect on piracy numbers? His ranting and raving serves no purpose and is potentially even worse for Crysis 2 piracy.

Bringing attention to the subject is actually one of the worst things he can do.

knaw i dont think so because someone who pirates usually checks the scenes every so often so they really would find out these games leaked anyway. and regardless of how soon they know about the game on torrents they still were gonna get them. its a thread about piracy but its not like he posted a link lol hes discussing how it has snegative effets which it does.

I think you'd be suprised. In the past I'll admit I've downloaded pirated games, but not very often, and things like this that reveal games are now available can result in pirating by more "casual" pirates. Not all pirates are that involved in the scene. That's simply a sterotype.

Either way, I don't see the point in his rant. It's poorly written, full of ignorant opinions and essentially pointless as it's the developers and publishers that combat piracy.
