Not a surprise as even GB beat PS1 back in the day. So it was likely DS would beat PS2 to continue that trend

Actually GameBoy and GameBoy Colour TOGETHER surpassed PS1. We dont know how muhc each handheld sold individually

We do, it was about 70m GB and 50m GBC.  The handhelds are lumped together though since GBC is kjust considered a model refresh of GB generally.   Same as with DS and DSi.
