. I managed to pick up a second hand copy in perfect state for 10 euros at a local store. My expectations were not too high, I bought it mainly because I felt that it was my duty as a RE fan. However, it turned out to be a great game! It is actually the most 'hardcore' game I have ever seen, being insanely difficult, and, where many games hold your hand for too long, this almost pushes you away yelling 'Fine, then go find everything out yourself.' However, this is probably excactly the appeal of the game.
Also , I didn't expect a remake of an old game on an outdated console to look good, but the graphics are actually fantastic! And it's scarier than RE4, featuring more atmosphere and danger - where in RE4, one zombie was no problem at all and fighting was the main part of the game, in REmake I often find myself running away from single zombies!
It was also funny to see some of the locations which I already knew from Umbrella Chronicles, as well as comparing REmake with RE:UC's shortened storyline. This may be pretty obvious to most of you, but I can really recommend buying REmake even now!
