Sure, if you believe that cartridges were the main culprit for Nintendo's demise, then it might just look that way. It's not like CDs really helped Sega at that time, now did they?

I love Sega dearly, but they couldn't manage their way out of a paper bag.  More and more, I think Genesis was simply a fluke.  Also, how well do you really think a cart only Saturn would've done with $60 games and a fraction the 3rd party support?
