I think this is pretty interesting. Look at the difference in sales between the Sony consoles and the other consoles, heck, the PS2 is ahead of the DS here!

Is the reason due to being avaliable in more areas, or is there another reason?

That gap is amazing.

PS2 just passed 15 friggin million in Middle East, Asia and Africa!  That's epic.  Whaaaat a beast.

And look at the PSP DS gap!  :O
