A lot of 3rd party devs shunned Nintendo, cuz Nintendo was kind of crappy to everyone prior, especially with the previous gen of the disc based ps1 and the cartridge based n 64. It took the GameCube for Nintendo to realize they have to play nice with 3rd party devs.

Smaller selection of 3rd party games to choose from, a "cartoonish" Zelda to turn away some zelda fans, and you got yourself a fiasco.

Sadly, many people missed out on one of the best games ever - Eternal Darkness.

It still blows my mind no one has made another horror game as close to awesome as Eternal Darkness. I'm with ya on that one! Nothing scared me more in a video game then when that game would randomly not let me save, or say my file was corrupt and I'd have to restart the game, not to mention the bugs crawling across the screen....damn I may go play it now!

Most definitely. I currently have a save file that almost has the 2nd time beat. My biggest problem is forgetting to save, and then I die and I have to do like 3 chapters over. Grr. But I plan on beating it on all 3 modes to finally see the full ending. I've also heard that something weird happens if you play it at 3:33 AM. Ive not tried it yet.

Hell, I'd be happy with a direct HD remake of that game next gen.
