Oh my science! I come back and the thread is like this? What's the problem if Sony comes to copy Nintendo again?

Grow up, there is no problem in that. It's just the way these companies go.

I think the problem isn't copying per se, it's trashtalking, spreading fud, and then copying.

I know. I was the one who started this thread. I thought it was a little joke. But then I come back and the discussion is sad about who did what first. Let the companies trash talk all they want. Let's not do their PR for them.

I don't know, I thought people would just laugh about it and move on.

I never really care what companies say about each other.  That's business.  The execs that say these things don't take it all so seriously as the fanboys do.  It's just part of the game for them.

It's when the trash talking gets to internet forums' fanboys that it becomes SERIOUS BUSINESS.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials
