This is probably the case...the Wii games in the charts are more mainstream/evergreen so used sales will be less.

That's just wrong. More popular games sell more copies, so there's a higher probability of more used copies circulating.

What actually works against the used games market are games that people want to keep, thus forcing others to buy new.

Casual gamers usually keep games as they play a little every now and then.
