Then the 360 boost in Americas make sense, but the lack of boost in EMEAA doesn't (I leave Japan out because we all know the dealio). The types of games Kinect has don't appeal to the typical 360 base established in Americas and the UK, yet those are the places where it has sold the most and boosted 360 sales. Is it simply that more are being shipped to those regions? Is it advertised more heavily there? You would think the Kinect effect would be more balanced like the Wii effect was, but we're not seeing that ... |
For all intents and purposes 360 is nearing death in continental Europe. Nothing that MS has done has had any sort of major long-term affect on sales in that region. 360 was basically firing on all cylinders last year and going absolute gangbusters in the UK, but for the entirety of Europe it only topped PS3 5 times, and 3 of those times it was basically a tie.

I mean the fact that it's pulling numbers in Americas comparable to the Wii back in 2008 and still basically only tying the competition should show how sad the situation has gotten for the 360 in EMEAA.
