A fine choice, my good man. I'm originally from near where Shepard Neame is based, which means also local pubs are all Shepard Neame pubs. They produce and brew locally a version of the Dutch pilsner Oranjeboom, which is my favourite beer. Shame I now don't live down there at the moment as it's a beer that is hard to find in the midlands. I don't like wheat beer, just in general.

I would love to go to the Shepherd Neame brewery sometime. I love pretty much all the beers they make. One of my friends got me eight Shepherd Neame ales for Christmas, which went down very well.
As for the Midlands, I'm from the Midlands too, there are a few good breweries. Church end in Nuneaton is good, as well as Quartz from Kings Bromley. Also, Burton-on-Trent is like the home of the breweries, so beer festivals near there are usually excellent.
